Advocacy
Young voices driving policy and accountability.
We refuse to let young people be sidelined. Advocacy for us is more than raising
voices. It is making sure those voices shape policy, community priorities, and
national strategies. Our county chapters do the day to day work of tracking county
commitments, drafting shadow reports, and pushing for laws that end FGM, child
marriage, and GBV. Our part in the Narok Anti FGM Policy and county steering
committees is one example of how youth momentum turns into real policy change.

Capacity Building
Growing the next generation of movement leaders.
Passion is not enough on its own. Movements need skill, structure, and stamina.
We invest in young activists so they can lead well and lead for the long haul,
through mentorship, leadership bootcamps, and training in advocacy, communication,
and resource mobilisation. Twenty two youth champions from YANK have already been
recognised by the President during the Generation Equality campaign, a reminder
that young people, when properly equipped, can lead at the very highest levels.

Knowledge Sharing
From village lessons to Pan African rooms.
So many good local solutions never get past the village. YANK exists to change
that. Through the YANK Knowledge Exchange, digital platforms, community convenings,
and Pan African forums, we take what is working in a county or a sub county and
put it in front of the people making decisions. From Samburu's sub county
mechanisms to university student councils, we help grassroots wisdom find a
bigger audience.

Innovation
Fresh solutions for a new generation.
Ending FGM asks for creativity, not more of the same. We back young people to
come up with bold ideas that actually land with their peers. Digital campaigns
that reach tens of thousands, gamified learning, community storytelling. The
kind of creativity that keeps the work alive and speaking Gen Z's language.

Coalition Building
Bringing youth voices together into one force.
No single youth, chapter, or organisation can end FGM alone. Our strength is in
numbers. YANK is a coalition of grassroots voices, CBOs, NGOs, student leaders,
and activists spread across 22 hotspot counties. Standing together under one
banner, we become harder to ignore. Coalition means we move beyond one off
projects and become a movement grounded in solidarity, shared values, and mutual
accountability. It keeps the fight to end FGM unified, youth led, and relentless.
