What we heard when youth advocates, elders, and county officials sat down in one room in Samburu.
What happened
The dialogue in Samburu brought together youth advocates, community elders, and county officials for a full day of frank conversation.
We heard three themes come up again and again:
- Girls who make it back to school after a rescue need long-term support, not one-off protection
- Faith leaders are ready to speak up, but they want the right vocabulary
- The sub-county steering mechanism is finally working, and it needs to be documented so other counties can copy it
